Will I be able to grade?
Yes. We provide a multi-level grading syllabus.

Do you teach Gong Fu techniques specifically for Self-Defence?
Yes, we do teach traditional Gong Fu techniques specifically for self-defence purposes. We provide such tuition in two forms: through members classes taught to our Grading Syllabus, and also through theme-focused special seminars.

Do you teach grappling techniques (‘Chin-Na’) appropriate to Security Guard, Police, and Military Personnel, etc?
Yes, we provide these specialist occupation-related services via special Seminars and Short-Courses, and can also provide them on special/’tailored’ contract basis.

Do you give personal/private one to one tuition?
Yes, prepared programmes, detailed to suit special requirements.

DO YOU TEACH WEAPONS SETS?
Yes, we teach weapons sets. We teach the full range of traditional Chinese martial arts weapons sets via specific weapon-related special seminars and short courses.

WHICH WEAPONS SETS DO YOU TEACH?
We ONLY teach traditional weapons sets (Please note, Traditional Style Weapons are heavier and less flexible than the Contemporary Wushu equivalents). Weapon Sets include SHORT and LONG Weapons.

WILL I BE ABLE TO ENTER COMPETITIONS?
YES. You will be able to enter regional, national, and international tournaments and competitions.

DO THE CLASSES INCLUDE FREE-SPARRING?
Once you have attained a sufficient level of ability in performance of forms, and two-man sparring, which is all encompassing, there will be opportunities to progress to competition free-sparring.

HOW OFTEN WILL I BE EXPECTED TO TRAIN?
Attendance at training classes is of course voluntary and dependent upon individual circumstances and work commitments. However, the minimum attendance at training classes which is desirable for students who wish to advance in their knowledge and capability in arts, and to progress in middle and higher level grading, requires regular weekly attendance at members classes.

HOW BIG ARE THE CLASSES? IF I AM A NEWCOMER, WILL I FIT IN AND NOT FEEL OUT OF DEPTH?
The number of students in a class are kept to a level that permits maximum learning potential at an individual level, and is structured to assist new students learn, gain confidence, and develop: Larger classes include Assistant Instructors who will help newcomers become acquainted with techniques and forms taught at a manageable pace for the new student.

WHAT CLOTHES SHOULD I WEAR?
Students attending our classes for the first time are advised to wear loose/comfortable clothing: those who become members will be advised of Qi China Martial Arts approved attire (Gong Fu/Kung Fu training trousers and T-Shirt).

WHAT ABOUT FOOTWEAR?
Students are required to wear flat-soled Gong Fu (Kung-Fu) shoes, or similar footwear.
