Shifu Alan Tinnion and Qi China International Honorary Secretary, Alan Mercel-Sanca, were invited as honoured guests at the 2009 Dorset Chinese Association New Year Festival celebration, held at the Ocean City Chinese restaurant, Bournemouth.

At the request of the organisers of this prestigious event Shifu Alan Tinnion contributed a special demonstration of dynamic traditional Chinese Shaolin Boxing.
